We’re Ben and Erin, the husband-and-wife team behind 13 Grainworks.

Between family life, two children and a dog who likes to keep us on our toes, the workshop has become our place to slow down, create and build something together.

Woodworking first began as a hobby for Ben during a time when he was unable to work and was looking for something positive to focus on for his mental wellbeing. What started as a way to keep busy quickly became a genuine passion, with countless hours spent learning new techniques, experimenting with different timbers, and creating pieces for family and friends. Before long, that passion grew into something much bigger, and 13 Grainworks was born.

The name itself holds a special meaning for us too. We were married on the 13th, so it felt only right that it became part of the business we’re building together.
